Arthur Gallery is more than an exhibition space. We believe that art connects: people, cities, countries. That is why we set up projects that reach beyond Antwerp, in partnership with galleries, embassies, institutions and artists on every continent: from Europe and Africa to Asia and the Americas. Every project starts from a work of art and from an encounter.

ÉCHOS – Mémoires & transmissions · Kinshasa

Galerie Palanca, Kinshasa · 11 October 2026 to 11 February 2027

Arthur Gallery and its artists support ÉCHOS, an exhibition of modern and contemporary art on memory and transmission, at Galerie Palanca in Kinshasa. Work by Filip Schrooyen travels to Congo, including the Kobalt series, the painting Le Socle (2026) and a signed print edition. Works by Marianne Huys and Jeremiah Teah, both of whom previously exhibited at Arthur Gallery, are also on view. The partnership grew from a meeting in Brussels between Arthur Gallery and Julie Theys Tshiongo, founder and curator of Galerie Palanca, and is developing into a lasting bond between the two galleries.

Diplomacy & culture

Art is a language that needs no translation. Arthur Gallery regularly invites ambassadors and diplomatic representatives to its openings and private viewings, and works with embassies on exhibitions around national days, cultural exchange and shared history. Our diplomatic contacts reach from Africa to Asia and Latin America; previous editions brought, among others, the ambassadors of Ghana, Liberia and Singapore to Antwerp. Embassies and cultural services considering a project are warmly invited to a conversation.

Exchanges worldwide

Arthur Gallery's outlook does not stop at one continent. Alongside Kinshasa, conversations and projects are under way with partners in Asia and Latin America, from a musical collaboration with Buenos Aires to cultural programmes around national days with Asian embassies. Wherever a work of art can open a conversation, we want to be present.

Artist representation

For a select group of artists, Arthur Gallery takes care of the business side: contracts, contacts with galleries at home and abroad, transport and insurance of works, communication. So the artist can do what only the artist can: make work.

Private viewings

For collectors, companies, embassies and circles of friends we organise viewings outside opening hours, with an introduction by the gallery and, on request, with a glass and live music. Discreet, personal, tailored.
